LiveWell at Coker Hills was very comfortable, homey, and had a nice feel to it. It was pleasant. It was clean, and it was really nice. They allow new residents to have their bedrooms painted any color they want. They can make it homey as they want, hang as many pictures they want, and can make the room their own. It offers free meals and free snacks at any time. They just go in the kitchen and somebody will get it for them. It's supposed to be just like a family. They will take them anywhere they want to go. They have a doctor that comes in monthly, making home visits or something. If somebody wants to go somewhere, like if they are attending a religious service or involved in a senior group at a YMCA or something, they would take them there. They all eat together at a table in a dining room. They have their meals there. It's a nice living space. It's like being in a real home. The only reason we're not jumping forward is that the only bedroom left in the memory care was very, very small. All the other bedrooms are a little bit larger. We would really like to have my mother in that home. All the other bedrooms were a nice size. People can bring their pets there if they have a pet. If a husband has dementia and the wife doesn't and they don't want to be separated, there was a bedroom that was for couples. Somebody could stay with their spouse in that home. It's a very, very great set up. My mother can be on a waiting list for a larger room, but I don't know when that would be. That's the only downside.
