I placed my brother in Mallard Ridge Assisted Living. They lacked employees. Employees lacked attention to the people that were there, and there was a lack of training also. The staff was friendly. They were just not well educated in what they were supposed to do. They're not necessarily instructed. I know for the first two or three months I had to ask them to get a can and a cup out from under his bed, and they were supposed to be vacuuming. They were not going in there and doing what they were supposed to do. They have get-togethers with singing. They may have other things, but I know given my brother's status he didn't get involved in anything like that, and he actually wasn't able to. I think they have bingo too.

We like Ridge Assisted Living. The staff and the nurses are very good with dad. He's in the memory care section now, but he used to be in the assisted living. He likes the food, and it seemed to be good. Their rooms are a little on the small side. They have twin beds. They share a bathroom, and it's adequate. They have a music room, an entertainment room, and a patio too.
They try to involve everybody every day. They have people that come in to sing, little parties for Father's Day and Mother's Day, Sunday preaching, different physical activities, and arts and crafts.
