Reserve at Mills Farm was like going into a five-star hotel resort. It's like you're on vacation, so if a person does that kind of lifestyle, likes to go on vacation or a luxury type stuff, that's where you'd go. It's a very nice, elaborate facility. It just did not fit my mother-in-law, because she'd rather be at home than to be on vacation all the time. Their rooms were single living and they have very nice furniture. Everything's included. They have an en suite type bathroom. In the open area, they have a living area with a fireplace, an activity area, kitchen, dining, and a nurse's station. In the middle, there's a courtyard that looks like a traditional English garden. They have it confined to where memory care residents could mingle with the ones that are on the other side. So, it's just like one little community where each of them have their own living space. The lady that took us around was very informative and very nice. She reached out several times to check on my mother-in-law and to see how we were.

Let me keep this straight to the point. If you pay almost 8K/month you expect that your family member is taken care of correct? from delicious food, assistance on her daily hygiene, activities, medication etc. That's our expectation but in reality it's the reverse of everything I said. The types of food they serve in Memory Care are disgusting, not contributing to the resident's health. Substandard food and snacks. 2x/week shower..so when a resident soiled themselves, tough luck, they will have to wait until their shower day. Activities, well if you call sitting down at the courtyard while listening to music as activity then you do you. I noticed a decline on activities after few weeks of being admitted here. Don't get me started with administering meds. MedTech's here seem to get into a habit of not giving residents their scheduled medication esp. the anti-anxiety one..although its logged in their chart..so where did it go? If you're thinking of putting your loved ones here, with the amount of money you're going to pay, I suggest to get a private care instead. You'll probably pay less but get more care.

I have never seen such a high level of incompetence. I would not recommend this place for any reason. They are unable to keep good staff, the senior people can't plan their way out of a paper bag. They will try and convince you that they have procedures in place for prescription mgt and care planning. THEY DO NOT. Ask for proof of anything they try and convince you of, or run away. Do not put your loved one in memory care here!
