I visited Oak Pointe of Carthage. It was incredible. That was my first choice, but they didn't have the 24-hour service my dad needed. I would give them a five plus in everything from what I saw. They were amazing people. It was amazing, and the people too. Everything about it was nice. When you walked in, it smelled of home-cooked food. They were cooking, and the smell there was not that bad smell that you get at the other places. Had they been able to give my dad what he needed, we would have chosen that one hand down. They offered home-cooked meals, taking food to my dad, and feeding him in his room. If he needed that, he would have had a private room. We would have brought his own furniture. They offered all kinds of activities and stuff. They spent a lot of time with me going over everything. Since they couldn't help me, they helped me to find something and go further beyond them. They even actually called to check on my dad. So, their entire staff, the facility, everything, I just got a really warm, caring feeling about it.
