My father moved to the memory care of Crest View Senior Community of Blaine, and our experience so far is not very good, but were working on it. Some of the staff members were very nice, but some were very unqualified and mean. In the beginning it was hell because they didnt know what they were doing, they over drugged my dad, and gave him the wrong medication. There were some kind people there, but there was definitely a disconnect in the nurses station as far as what they were supposed to do. We caught the overdose. The building itself is newer; its fine. We have a list of activities for the memory care, but we dont believe theyre doing them. They can improve on activities, communication with the right nurses, and make sure they screen their aides. They have independent living, assisted living, and memory care. My dad was in independent living and recently moved to memory care. They have a beauty shop where my dad can get his toenails done, its excellent, and the restaurant where they can eat has good food. Unfortunately, anything that has to do with the hiring is always wrong. For memory care theyre working with us, and we still have things to work out, but I do feel it will get better.
