Havenwood of Buffalo was nice. The people there were nice. It was a great place. It just wouldn't fit my father's needs. The staff had lots of information. She gave me a packet, the rate, the care, the floor plan, their calendar, and their lunch and dinner. They had a facility for the people to do exercises. They were very organized. The tour was during COVID, so we had to be careful on where we could go; however, they showed a lot. The staff was very nice. There was a studio that we looked at, and then they had another one that was bigger. We thought the smaller one would just be fine because of my father's memory. It looked like everybody there was very happy. The people were talking to the staff while we walked through, like they knew each other. She did a great job. She knew what she was talking about. Everything was good. They had elevators and that works for them. The memory care was on one level, and I believe it was all secure. They had to somehow ring you in and out, which is good for memory care.
