I went to Serenity Manor. It's a home with a max of six residents. They have two owners, and one of them lives there. She lives in the upstairs apartment. There is always two to three staff, so you have a great ratio of staff to residents. Currently, none of the residents are ambulatory. Most of them are advanced dementia patients and need to be lifted with a Hoyer. Right now, it's not ideal for them, but that's what they're getting. Right now, advanced memory care is what they're getting now. I couldn't even talk to the patients because they were so demented. It's a higher level of care and a lot of one-on-one.
I think one of the rooms is shared. It's extremely clean. When you walk in, you were in the kitchen common area. Off to the right are the dining room and the living room, and then behind the kitchen is an L-shaped hallway with bedrooms. There are two bathrooms, too. It's very clean and very nice. If I had somebody who needed 24-hour care like that, that'd be great. I was impressed with the staff, too.
