My mom moved to Cadence Living Olney. It's still fairly new and so far it's ok, but I'm not gonna say it's the bed. I guess I expect more from people, and I'm not getting it, so that's my problem. I expected more kindness and smiles, although there were a lot of people there that smiled more there than at her old facility. The room needs to be cleaned a little better but it's pretty clean. The place is only about seven months old. The food also looked better because they give more vegetables, but I haven't tried it. We made a Valentine's wreath for their doors the other day. I haven't seen much of the activities but I'd like to see more because they watch a lot of TV and that's not good. The value for money is better because mom is sharing a room, so it's $4000 cheaper than the other place. There was another facility there I wanted her to go to, but the price was high and they had to share a bathroom and showers with others, unlike this one.

I've toured Cadence Living Olney. It was nice and lovely, but it was a couple of thousand a month that I was willing to do. All of them are expensive, but Cadence was nice because it was brand new, so they had everything you needed in the same kind of situation. But I wasn't as happy with the companion suites as the other place, they didn't have actual separate bedrooms. They had a half wall that came three-quarters of the way down, but it didn't go all the way. So you weren't alone if you wanted to be, and there was no door to close. That's the only thing I didn't like about them. The staff members were very personable, and the one who gave the tour was very nice. She was very, very nice and knew her job very well, and took us for a whole complete tour of everything that we needed to see. Their dining area was nice. When we went people were sitting down and eating, and they had helpers to feed them, so it was good. They have a separate room for watching the television, they have a separate room for exercising, they have one room where there's a big screen TV and you can do activities like online bowling and online stuff like that. So it was kind of interesting. You can exercise with the TV and it was a very nice setup. I would have gone there in a million years if it wasn't so expensive, but it was just a little too pricey. It was so brand new and everything was perfectly clean, you could still smell the paint.
