My husband was in Sunrise of Annapolis. It's very pricey, I don't think the price matches the care. I know some of the staff were very nice and friendly, but some of them I didn't care for. They weren't unpleasant to my husband, but I don't think they liked me very much. I thought they were short-staffed from the 3-11 pm shift. It seems like they're always in a hurry to get the residents fed and get cleaned up so that they can clean up. They wanted to charge me for more care. In my opinion, the care was not there for the money. The facility is very nice, it's more geared toward assisted living than memory care. When I first took him there, their expressions were like, Oh, I got to do this again, or I got to lift him again, they never said those words, but the facial and body language showed that. I'm not saying everyone was like that. There was one caregiver, Steve, who was great as a caregiver, but he was only one person. How does one person take care of 11 people? They had one person for ten people on one side, one person on the other side from 3 to 11, and then a floater. I thought the food there was not very good either, it's very institutionalized food.

Sunrise of Annapolis' staff is very helpful and attentive. The rooms are clean and the food is good. The activities are very hands-on. Theyve done a wonderful job with Mom since she's been there.
