My father is going to be moving into Spring Arbor of Severna Park. It had all of the amenities and everything that I needed for him. I felt more comfort putting him in a memory care unit that has locked doors and elevators. He can't get out. The cost is a little exorbitant, but he had the money. The other thing that I liked is that he is going to be active. Whereas being here with me for the past two years, he didn't have any social time. He needs to do that.
They have nurses on the staff, and they are there so many hours throughout the week and on the weekends. I just felt more of a comfort level for him. I saw the people there, and they all seemed happy. They weren't just slumped over in chair sleeping. They were active.
The marketing director is awesome. She is very helpful. The director and the one nurse that did an in-home assessment were very professional and gave me a lot of pointers, too.

There's nothing I did not like about Spring Arbor of Severna Park. The place was very clean. It had all kinds of activities. It covered all the needs that my relative would require as far as activity and motivation. It was a very friendly place, and the staff was very knowledgeable. They had a lot of activities going on, like events, physical therapy, and places to go outside, which were pleasant.

I went to Spring Arbor of Severna Park. What I liked about it was they had a lot of reclining chairs for the residents. They looked like it was very much geared for memory care versus assisted living place. It's a nice, open area and everything was very nice. The lady in charge of admissions there was very nice and she was very helpful. The only thing was, my husband, did not qualify because he had a Hoyer lift.
