My mother has been living in Notre Dame du Lac for around five months now. She is in the memory care unit. I think the place is very clean. It's quiet, and I think they're organized. The girls are good with the residents. They try to keep them busy, so they have arts and crafts. This is what we wanted for her, so she could feel better about spending her day.
They're all private, big rooms. She can fit a couch in there. She's got a table and bookcases. There's drawers built into the wall. She's got a big, queen bed that is very roomy. She's very comfortable.
They have a dining area, a kitchen, and a TV area. That's where they do the little things. They get off the unit, and they go to church every day. There's a mass everyday. We went in on Sunday, and she was in church. It's a nice big chapel. They have a couple of small courtyards around, shaded from the summer trees and flowers. It is very pretty.
