Benchmark Senior Living at Shrewsbury Crossings and the grounds are all pristine, beautiful, and in a wonderful location. I was very impressed by how clean it was, how organized and the setup. The staff was very friendly and professional, as well as the woman who gave us the tour. She was very informative and she gave us time to think of any questions and went over any of our questions or concerns in detail. She was amazing. There's no doubt in my mind that if we choose that facility, my dad would be cared for with the utmost professionalism and care quality. I came at the end of some of their activities. They were very organized and adhered to each person's uniqueness or needs. The dining area is one of the things that my dad would like the most because he has the freedom to be able to go when he wants to and not just get what's the staple all the time. They're given enough room to get around with any of their walkers. So I thought it was very nice. The staff was very professional, very friendly, didn't seem robotic, was very warm and caring, and took time to listen to our concerns. I was shown the menu and I was shown the special sheet for the day. I was very impressed with the options that they will have being in a facility.

The reason I chose Benchmark Senior Living at Shrewsbury was because they have 2-bedrooms. I needed 2 rooms for my parents to separate them. We like the staff. We saw the food presented in the hallway, right in front of the dining hall, and we actually ate some. We like everything about it. They have a gentleman that comes in twice a week and sing songs for the residents, and they like that. They paint my mother's fingernails, they interact with her to make her feel good. They took her on a trip to one of the bakeries, and we actually met my parents there when they got off the bus. They enjoyed that. They have trivia, and since they're in the memory care unit, they try to engage them. And they also read to the residents out loud. I saw them having exercise in the morning. It just felt like home.
