I absolutely love Savannah Grand of West Monroe, but I'm going to have to marry rich to afford it. We had the tour scheduled on a Saturday. All they did was walk me around and let me look at the rooms. They couldn't answer any questions at all. It was kind of a waste of time, and I have to call back later.
It was very, very lovely. It was very clean, and it smelled clean. The residents there seemed very happy. When I came through the front door, they had a chalkboard sign that said welcome with my name. I thought that was a really nice touch. They had really nice courtyards and different areas, whether it was memory care, assisted living, or nursing home. All of the rooms had a shadowbox on the outside, where family members could put pictures. It was really nice. I had not seen that touch in any other facility before.
There's assisted living, nursing home care, and memory care. For an additional $300 a month, they would have somebody come in twice a day to administer medicines; it's not included in the flat fee. The staff during the tour was absolutely lovely.
