I liked the warmth of Inspired Living at Kenner. It was not as corporate. It just gave a very warm feeling. I met with the representative named Tiffany. She answered all my questions. If I had a question or wanted to speak to somebody, I was able to go ahead and do that. She was very, very open about their strengths. The material that they gave me as far as pricing and all the things that were available was all inclusive. The representative found out where we lived. She asked if I had tried a place that was close to my house, which I had. After spending an hour with me, interacting with me, and seeing what my objectives were, she wanted me to go to Inspire. However, she also thought enough of me and my mother after an hour to ask if I had looked at a place that was closer. We are 20 minutes from Inspired, but only 5 minutes from this other place. From a marketing point of view, they may not like that; however, from a relations point of view, that shot that place up. If all the employees are like that, that's the kind of place I want my mother at. The cleanliness was very good. It was a good feeling when I got there. They gave me information that I needed to help whittle down and narrow my visit. I don't think I should have to go two times to try to get a feel for the place.

I did a tour of Inspired Living at Kenner. I don't have anything negative to say about the facility. I was just disappointed that it wasn't in my budget. The actual facility is amazing. It's spotless, and it has so many things to offer the residents there. Now I know why it's called inspired living because everything is catered to the residents there. There are rooms that they have. The ones that I saw were all private rooms and everything is equipped for someone that has mobility issues. The showers are roll-in showers, and the programs that they have for the individuals keep them active. They group the residents by their mental abilities. If you're going to lunch, dinner, or what have you, they have a chef and waiters. They bring the food to the residents, and they grouped them by their mental capabilities at each table. If they have a good memory, they were able to talk and they're social, they group them at those tables that are best for them. I love all the social activities that they have for them. I love the glass box that they have by their doors where you put things like family pictures and stuff to remind that person that this is their room because they see something familiar every time they pass that door. It's just a great facility. I didn't have the food, but I like the way it's set up, where they served them their meals. They have an awesome menu. They have a salon and a separate barber shop. They have laundry services that they do all the laundry for their residents. They have a walking path. The facility is amazing. They have joy rides; they take the residents out for rides. They have ice cream socials, music socials, and bingo. They have a priest that comes to the facility. There were just so many things, just a lot of positive interaction with the patients. It's a very clean facility.

Inspired Living at Kenner was beautiful. We went to the memory care unit and it was very impressive. It had individual bedrooms and bathrooms for each resident. The staff was very kind and very nice. Everyone seemed to be very happy there. It was good. They had beautiful outside walking areas, a gazebo, and a screened-in porch. They had a lot of indoor and outdoor activities for them. There's a swimming pool and they were very hands-on. It looked great.

My partner has moved into Inspired Living Kenner. It had a national reputation for memory care, and that was my main objective. Also, it was very clean and well-organized. It seemed like memory care was not like a jail. Even though it's locked, there was a lot of area for memory care. So far, it's been very positive. They've bent over backward to try to help me to be able to afford it and to provide whatever I needed to get going. The only thing that I had wanted was to put him into a companion suite, but they didn't have one. They said they would move in a couple of months if he were doing okay. Also, because we didn't know if he was going to do okay with memory care, we both agreed on a trial basis to see how it goes if he needs too much care to be there. He had been fairly independent before he got sick and got put in the hospital. He had become almost bedridden, and they have so much medicine, so many psychotropic medications that we really can't tell what he's capable of yet. The facility is beautiful. What I like about it is its outside; it's just the furthest edge of the county here. It's got a lot of land around it and you don't feel like you're walled into the city, which some of them are. It's nice, the bathroom is very well equipped. He has windows that he can look out of, and it's over empty grass areas. It's nice that he will have access to a swimming pool. They have a large screened-in area that is part of the public area, and they also have a long walk for them. It's a good bit of space, but his own accommodation is quite adequate, nice, and clean. Yesterday I sat in with the exercise, I did it myself. It was a chair exercise, and it was very good. Then they had a game, a Christmas quiz kind of game. They had quite a few people there participating in it, really got the social thing going. It was well handled, and I was impressed. I enjoyed myself that time. He was sleeping half the time, and he wasn't participating too much yet, but we'll see because it would be stimulating for him when he's awake. They won't let him sleep in his room, they'll make him sit out there, and sleep in his wheelchair, which I like because he was spending all this time, sleeping in his room.

I toured Inspired Living at Kenner and it was very nice, very enjoyable, and very informative. The lady who assisted me into the memory care was top-notch. The place was very nice, very clean, and very fun. The dining area was also very nice. They have a nice courtyard, a place you can walk around, an activity center, a place to play music and where they can sing. It was very nice.

Inspired Living at Kenner was nice. They introduced us to the staff and showed us around the 3 different size rooms. They talked about their activities and what they do. They go out and the staff told me they have a vehicle that transfers them. The place was clean and smelled good, not like a nursing home. It's very nice. One of the rooms they showed us is a studio, the next size is a medium and a private room, and the next one is a large room that's also a private room. They're very spacious, they're nice and the bathrooms are nice. It also has a step-in shower, all we have to do is bring my dad a bench to sit on for the shower. The place is just beautiful. I didn't see any of the food but the staff told me about the menus and what the residents eat. We saw the exercise room, the barber and the beauty salon, the dining area, and the activity room. We also saw the back patio outside, the little pond where they go fishing and have their outings in, and the bus for their tours.
