Plein de Vie Estates is a unique, one-of-a-kind care home in Lafayette, Louisiana and Acadiana's first truly residential alternative to assisted living and memory care. You won't find a cold, corporate setting here. Our beautiful 5,000+ Sq. Ft. home is situated in the community, not in an industrial area. With a maximum occupancy of 10 residents, PDV is not a storage facility. Indeed, we believe, like our name implies, that our residents are "Full of Life."

We provide many stimulating activities to help seniors impacted by Alzheimer's and/or dementia to maintain as much independence as possible. As a locally owned and operated assisted living, we treat all residents as if they are family. This resonates to all aspects of operations. Our owners, who have a combined 20 years experience of caring for the elderly and mentally and physically infirmed, can be found daily at PDV. A claim that almost no other assisted living can make. One of our biggest pet peeves is being told the price is one thing, but when it comes time to pay, the price is significantly higher. Facilities will often charge a "lower" price on monthly rent, but charge for assistance with showers, incontinence care, and any other reason why someone would actually need to be placed in a supportive setting. We at PDV believe this is not only wrong but predatory. You can't simply move Mom and Dad out and find another place, so often times people will just pay these predatory fees. At PDV, the all-inclusive price you are told is the price you will pay, period! You won't find a point, step, or incremental billing system here.

Though we have nothing personal against big box assisted living facilities, our goal is to shake up and redefine what memory care and assisted living can be.
