My mom, 90, has lived at Magnolia Springs Louisville for 18 months. She began in Assisted Living and recently moved to Memory Care.
I like this place and feel fortunate that we found it. It's spotlessly clean, and recently the carpets were replaced and the walls painted so it's all fresh. With thick carpet and handrails everywhere, it's subtly designed to be very safe for elders. It feels like a nice hotel – a nice hotel that sometimes has a lively game of chair volleyball going in the lobby!
What impresses me most is the staff. Everyone from the top managers to the aide who brings meds, to the facilities manager who fixes a loose doorknob, to the dining room staff and activities directors are caring professionals who are genuinely interested in the residents' lives. It takes special people to work with elders, and Magnolia Springs Louisville seems to have a staff full of them.
Assisted Living has a calendar filled with quality activities (exercise, crafts, outings, movies, visiting musicians, etc.). In Memory Care things are lower-key, but they still strive to have exercise, games, time for reminiscing and similar activities every day.
Meals are varied and appetizing, served on white tablecloths, and, of course, an important social event for the residents. The grounds are spacious and well-tended. Some residents have small pets, which is a joy not just for the pet-owners, but for others who love animals!
It would be worthwhile to tour this place if you are looking for a senior living center. Once you are inside Magnolia Springs, the attention to detail and, most importantly, the kindness shine through.

My visit to Magnolia Springs Louisville went well. It was beautiful and very clean. It was superb. They had dining activities, a beauty shop, a nice outside area, and cable TV was added to your pricing. It was nice. They had a beautiful green space outside. The staff was very pleasant, helpful, and knowledgeable. On my way out, I even got an apple pie.
