Addington Place of Prairie Village was lovely. But they don't do the two-person assist, and I didn't want to have to move my mom again when she got worse. It was very clean, cheery, and sunny. They have independent living so the atmosphere is different. People were outside, coming and going. I was there during lunch, and people were at the tables, people knew each other, and it seemed nice. Somebody just moved out of the room that they showed me, so they need to refresh it. They just wanted to give me an idea. But it was nice and had a little divider to separate it into two rooms. They looked out on green space, and everything just seemed very nice. The staff that gave me the tour was very knowledgeable, very helpful, cheery, and positive. They gave me a lot of support. In terms of the food, I only saw what was on people's plates and it looked good. I met their activity coordinator, and they do things like painting.
