Heartis Village of Peoria was beautiful. The people seemed very happy there, but it didn't have the level of care my dad needs. It's fairly new and lovely. The director was very nice and very kind. She said even if we didn't choose Heartis, she was willing to help us in any way she could with another place or even trying to get in-home care. They're very helpful.
They showed us a room that was not furnished, but was carpeted. The bathroom was very nice. The shower was the same level. It's a nice sized room, but you had to bring your own furniture. The lobby area and their community area were very nice. I don't think there was one big dining room. There was a dining area for each hallway, so it was more of like family style. There were just a few small tables, but they were spacious.
It was landscaped beautifully outside, and there were views of outside from many of the windows. It's very lovely.
