The Sheridan at River Forest was very nice. They have a memory ward. The only thing that I would say negative is that it was really expensive, but the facility was brand new. The people were very warm. I didn't get to go in and look at rooms though. I didn't sample their food, but I expect that it's pretty high based on what they charge.
I think that they have everything. They have bus service to take you places, and pets are allowed. I looked at assisted living and memory care because my mom has Alzheimer's. The only thing I didn't like was that she would be housed in a separate unit without her husband. They wouldn't be able to be in a room together. Both assisted living and memory care looked really good.
