My husband has moved into Grace Assisted Living - Fairview Lakes. Everybody was friendly and it seemed neat and clean. We toured the other sister community, but they said they didn't have room there for memory patients, but the Meridian outlet did. The staff seems to care about him and is interested in his care and that he's happy. There haven't been a lot of activities because they're in lockdown. But what little bit they do is they've taken them out and let them sit outdoors in the sun on a patio because it's still warm. They're trying to keep everybody kind of separated a little bit because they're still trying to get cleared up. I can't remember if she said it was a staff member or a resident, but somebody tested positive. And so they're trying to get a couple of negative readings from everybody before they can open back up for visitors. They have a monthly or weekly chart of what activities they're going to do and I found that nice. It's somewhat impressive to see. We as visitors have to wear masks as well as the employees, but the residents don't wear masks. I ate there one time and I like the food, it was fine. I looked around my home area in Oregon, and it was a lot more expensive. The location is better for us because it's close to the kids, and turns out the cost was less. They have a community TV, which is nice, so people that don't necessarily have a TV can go out and watch the television as a group. I noticed there are a lot of the residents that can walk around or go bowling, or do whatever with their walkers. They don't discourage them and make them stay in their rooms, and I was glad to see that.

My mother-in-law is now a resident of Grace Assisted Living. They have memory care, which is what we needed. It's very good. They're very caring people. They made it super easy. My mother-in-law is in a small room. We're having to get her set up on Medicaid, so it has to be a shared room, which is the hardest thing for her to adjust to. Then with COVID, she had 14 days of quarantine. It was difficult. The people there just kept in touch with me. If I had questions, they were just really good to answer them, and if they didn't know the answer right off, they would call me back. They've just been excellent. My mother-in-law is very picky and she said the food is horrible. The menu looked exceptional and much better than the place where she was at, but I don't really know. It smelled good. It's so frustrating. We're not able to visit. Otherwise, I would know all about that, but the menu looked very good. They have exercise class, they have cards, they have other board games, and they have an outing where they actually load them up in the bus and go places on Thursdays. They have movie nights, too. They are keeping the residents involved as much as they can with the COVID. I feel that she is safe and I feel that she is well taken care of.

Grace Assisted Living is a fine facility, and my father has already moved in. The rooms are very nice. The staff is very good, and there are lots of activities like entertainment, crafts, and they take the residents out on a ride. The food is good, and my father likes it a lot.

The rooms are very nice, and the food seems very good, but my mom is in the Memory Care Unit, so she doesn't really know if the food is good or not. I haven't eaten any of it, but it looked good when we were there visiting. We are paying for the highest level of care, and so far, that is what we have gotten. The neighborhood is a residential area, and they have a yard of their own that they can go out in.
