Corridor Crossing Place is a smaller community, and it had more of a small-town feel to it. It has been remodeled. You could tell from the new flooring, paints, and things like that. Several residents had smiles on their faces. They were playing a game there, and people seemed to be out and about. I saw nurses around. They seemed very caring and compassionate. This is a very hard time for me, so I kind of broke down. They were really good with me about that. Overall, it was great. It's just kind of in a residential area, kind of tucked away. It is nice, except it's kind of confusing to get back there for my dad, and I don't want to do that to him. I actually saw two people during my tour. I saw the person that assisted me, and she took me into the executive director's office. I chatted with her a little bit. Everyone was very caring. The rooms are a little bit small. My mom likes a tub and a bath instead of a shower, but that place only had toilets in the rooms and had a community shower. I don't think my mom's going to go for that at all.

The person who showed us around Corridor Crossing Place was very efficient and did a great job. It's very nice, but it was kind of confusing. It's U-shaped and there were different sections. My sister and his husband would never be able to navigate that on their own. All the walls were white including the hallways, so it was almost like a hospital and very impersonal looking. The people were nice, but it was just very sterile. They had a fenced in courtyard off of one section in the memory care, but the other areas were open and you could just walk out the door. The dining area was very nice and the residents were enjoying the food. I didn't see anybody there that wasn't happy. It would've been better if they drew some paint on the walls. It was very clean, but it was not as personalized.

Corridor Crossing Place did not work out for us. They were going to take my husband but then they didn't have a space for him. It was a very nice place. They were hoping to expand their memory care, but I just didn't feel like they had the attention in the memory care that they could have had. The memory care just seemed to not be active enough for my husband. It didn't look like they did anything to get the residents to be more active. That was the memory care part, but the rest of it was fine. The rooms they had were beautiful. The whole place was very nice, but it just wasn't for us, and it wasn't what we were looking for. I was able to see both assisted living and memory care. The people that we met were very friendly. My husband was comfortable in the assisted living, but they couldn't do assisted living for him. The place is very clean. It has walk-in tubs that would be very good. They have a towel warmer so the towels are warm after the showers, which is very nice.
