My husband was in The Oaks at Savannah, and I want to get him out of there as soon as possible. He's been in the emergency room for the past two nights. Some of the staff were nice and helpful, but the ones the day before yesterday were just pathetic. I screamed, I needed help, and no one even came. They saw me walk out with them from the lounge area. Why weren't they following me and helping me? He could hardly walk. As far as the medical, for delivering the medicine, I would rate it a three or a two. I did have one meal there and it wasn't that bad. But most of the meals are institutional food, out of a can. One was so greasy. I complained that night. It was just greasy, big chunks of sausage, beans, and mashed potatoes. So no vegetables whatsoever. But I did complain to them at the desk and since then I noticed that we're getting vegetables. But it's certainly not state-of-the-art food. It's just institutional canned food. They were having music when I was leaving to take my husband to the hospital.
I do not want to take him back to this horrible place. That was the worst experience I've ever had to see my husband or anybody with feces from the waist down to their ankle and no one doing a thing about it. And the woman said to me, " I thought I smelled something over there. " Maybe it was my husband, or maybe it would have been somebody else, so go check.

The Oaks at Savannah was rather clean. The staff was friendly and the pricing was reasonable. We liked the place. It's overall a better place that would fit my father. They had several activity lists. We weren't able to see any activity, but they seemed to have a lot for the residents there. They had a library. I didn't see a salon, but I'm sure they have those things there.
