Seven Hills Place was more convenient as far as checking on mom goes because my brother works out of Rome. The price was reasonable. It was just an older facility. The building was not as new, but it was well-kept and clean. The staff was wonderful. She followed up on us by checking periodically if we found a place and checking on mom. She was very, very good. They served us some cookies and lemonade when we went in to talk to them. Some people in the memory care were watching TV in the lobby. The rooms were very nice. The one that mom was going to have had a big walk-in shower and a big bathroom. It was well-kept and very clean. Everything was up to par.

My mom is in Seven Hills Place, it's a memory care only facility. I'm very happy with them, it seems very clean and neat, and they have a beautiful courtyard that's landscaped. The staff has all been extremely friendly and accommodating to my mother. She's a difficult person, but they've treated her very kindly. They haven't been impatient with her, they've done a really good job, way beyond what I expected. They have exercise opportunities, they have monthly birthday parties and celebrations. They have movie watching where there are times that they watch movies as a group. I was very happy with her room. We went with the one-bedroom option, which means she has a little sitting area in addition to a bedroom area, a sink, small refrigerator, and a little tiny kitchenette. I'm very happy with the size of the room and what's in there, there are two windows that are really nice. The director, Michelle, was amazing in helping us get Mom there. My mom didn't want to go somewhere, and Michele helped us through that, that we thought was impossible. But Michelle made it happen and she was fantastic and helped my mom adjust to the new situation. And so Michelle has been incredible, as has anyone else we've dealt with there. It's not locked-down, it's all in a rectangle with a courtyard in the middle. The only locked thing is the front door. They have activities too, and the lady that runs the activities really cares and really tries. They have activities every day. I'm happy that they're taking care of Mom better than we do, and it's hard to put a dollar value on people's positive attitude there.
