My family have just placed my father in the Memory Care facility at Clairborne West. We are so impressed with the amount of care and attention he's received in a week, and whenever we call or email with a question, we get a clear response. We feel hopeful that this level care will continue and feel grateful that we have found such a positive and caring environment!

The facility is fairly new (18-24 months), well kept. The staff is superb - attentive, engaged, responsive to both my mother and to the family as we visit, call, or check with the staff about her health concerns. Her time there has shown increased engagement with other residents, staff, and family when we visit. Activities are scheduled regularly and seem to be enjoyed by residents. The period of the pandemic has been difficult to see my mother, because the Claiborne has been very attentive to maintaining a healthy, risk-free environment. There has been less physical visiting, but more virtual visiting, and the staff have helped with that.

The Claiborne is a beautiful place to live! There are outdoor courtyards, an indoor movie theatre and activity rooms, a library area, hair salon, and so much more. But even more than that, the staff who work there are amazing! They are knowledgeable, compassionate, and understanding and they truly care for the people they work with. That is such a comfort to me! My mother has been living there for 1 & 1/2 years and the staff know her and know what she likes to do and what makes her comfortable. They go the extra mile (especially during this pandemic when I haven't been able to visit the way I use to) and I always know what is happening. The Memory Care section of The Claiborne has their own designated activity person who is wonderful at creating and leading activities that meet the specific needs of the residents. Before the pandemic, there were regular excursions to places around our city - art museum, movie theatre, bus rides to get ice cream, restaurants, boat rides on the canal, etc. And there are always fun and creative planned events for all of the residents to participate in. It's a place that I trust and am thankful that my mother has the opportunity to live there.
