I toured Waters Cove Senior Living Community for my mother-in-law. It's a single-family home that the young lady that runs and owns it, turned into a senior living community. There are only three residents there so the whole community is just memory care, it's not like a separate unit inside. I liked the fact that it's a smaller setting. It felt like home. It was very inviting when you walk in and does not feel like you're at a nursing home. The staff was very knowledgeable, very compassionate, and patient. I didn't feel like she was just giving us a tour and just want to take our money. She was very genuine. The food was very good and felt like home. I just feel like it's something you may make in your own kitchen or your grandma or your mother made in her kitchen. You walk in some places, and it smells like a nursing home, but this did not smell. It's got an aroma, just the smell of like comfort food when you walk in. We're going to have the young lady come out this week and do an assessment on my mother-in-law and then go from there. She offered that if we didn't want to do something long-term right away, that she will be willing to do a respite for us, and then kind of see how my mother-in-law does and then go from there.
