I went to see The Phoenix in Tucker. Their menu is very extensive, and I like it because you have choices. You can have whatever it is the chef has prepared for the day, and it's like usually 2 or 3 choices. If that doesn't suit you, then you can have them prepare you something else. You can also get snacks and stuff. It's not just 3 meals a day, you can have snacks and with dinner they have wine. It's just really like a home. They have the exercise room, a little library area, an area with computers, and a play area. If your grandchildren come to visit you, you can go outside and sit in jungle gyms and things like that. You can play with your grandchildren just like you might have walked down the street to a little park or something. They have beautiful gardens too. I feel like it's pretty secure because the memory care area is locked. You can walk around inside, and they have these bracelets that they put on the residents so they can only get so far; they can't get out any door. You don't feel like you're a prisoner there though. I just don't think you could just walk in off the street randomly.

I visited this community for my grandmother. She’s declining in health and it’s time to mover her into a skilled nursing home. The staff here was great the building looked new and clean. My family will make a decision soon but this place is in the running for our choice.
