About This Community

At Northstar Place, our senior living community, we deliver compassionate care while helping our residents with their daily routine. We develop individual care plans to meet the needs of each resident, and a full-time registered nurse is available 24 hours a day to provide clinical oversight and coordination of care. We can also coordinate on-site physical therapy, monthly visits by a physician, and routine visits by a podiatrist and dentist. Our residents engage in a variety of stimulating activities, such as tai chi, bingo, socials, arts and crafts, movie nights, and live entertainment. We also go on outings for shopping, dining, and entertainment. Our residents deserve the best, and we work hard to offer them the highest standard of senior living care.

Northstar Place was a nice place, but it was a bit larger, and it didn't seem to be as homey for us. It was like my number two place. Their memory care facility seemed to be clean. The attendants were very attentive toward their clients. They're very knowledgeable and informative about what their needs were. They had many varieties of rooms between single and double. They do a lot of different activities on and off campus. But that's not necessarily what we are looking for due to my mom's situation.

If Northstar Place had come down in pricing, we would have put my mother-in-law there to be closer to my home. The price is too much. I really enjoyed speaking with Sierra, and I don't know if she's the admissions or not, but she gave me a lot of very good information and took time. The facility's nice. They actually have a lockdown unit for memory care patients or residents. It's clean and it's a very good facility. Everything honestly came down to pricing with what my father-in-law could afford. They have very clean and nice shared rooms there. You can get a private room, but costs more over at Northstar Place. But the facility was fine, everything was good, the staff was good with us. In the memory care, they focus on what the residents like and ask questions as well. They asked what my mother-in-law liked to do, or what was she interested in. They have music and group activities, but I do know that it's different over in the memory care than it is in the general area.

I have to say we moved my mother from another location in the middle of the pandemic last November - and it is the best move we ever made. Stephanie and her staff are educated, caring and customer service driven. Mom is so much happier. And so are we. The facility is bright in spirit light in atmosphere and full of happiness. All of mom’s needs are met - and even though I can’t get there during this pandemic I know that they are. When I call to talked to mom she is not as anxious or agitated as she used to be - and no she hasn’t had any drug changes. It’s a calming and relaxing feeling knowing your loved one is in a better place. Her room is perfect for her huge window one closet everything is compact and perfect for a memory care patient. Everyone-I mean everyone there that I have interacted with either phone or in person love their jobs and it shows. There is also a gorgeous courtyard with a walking path which mom totally enjoys-even in the winter months. She is a walker so this is perfect for her. I recommend this facility to anyone with a memory care loved one in need. Well I can’t write the food or write a few things because I am not there every day when I do see mom she seems very healthy and happy.
