About This Community

Kennesaw Place is a pet friendly senior living community where providing compassionate assistance with daily routines comes naturally. In addition to the high quality assisted living optins provided, our community also offers Alzheimer's and Dementia Care, so residents have peace of mind knowing they can stay here if their needs change. We develop individual care plans to meet the needs of each resident, and a full-time licensed nurse is available 24 hours a day to provide clinical oversight and coordination of care. Our small town charm and southern hospitality is evident by how we offer our residents the opportunity to thrive in mind and body. We have a fitness center, daily exercise classes and provide activities like Puzzles & Tea, TED Talks, Crosswords & Coloring, and Spiritual Studies & Singing to engage you physically, mentally and spiritually. We also enjoy taking advantage of the area by planning shopping, dining and sightseeing excursions. Request more information about our senior living community today.

My mother has moved into Kennesaw Place. They don't have very many people in the community. There are only 10 people, which is good for my mom because she has dementia. She's made three to four friends since she's been there. With not having a whole lot of people, the staff has more time to be with her, help her out, and help the other people in the community. I went in there one day, and they were doing bingo, puzzles, and coloring books. They went outside before it got too hot, and they did birdfeeders. They did fans, and they had movie nights. We had pancake breakfast the other day. They had different activities like that. She has a very large room because it fits two dressers, two recliners, her bed, and two nightstands. The bathroom is pretty big because it has a walk-in shower with the handicapped toilet and everything. She's in the memory care unit. I haven't seen anything bad about them. The facility is very clean. I've never been in there where it's been dirty or anything. The staff is very nice and very caring. They know each resident by name and what they like to do. There's one guy there that doesn't like to wear pants and they're very patient with him. They have him put on his pants, so he can come out. They're very nice. My mom says they're very nice, and they're good to her. The food portions are very small, and my mom complains that the food is always cold. It's not any cheaper or more expensive than anybody else I looked at.

I feel extremely fortunate to have chosen this facility for my mother. She started in assisted living and as the disease progressed, she was moved to the alzheimers care unit in the same facility. The staff do so much for my mother. They love her as I do and I know that she is in good hands.
