I visited Cadence at Mt. Zion. They were very nice, and they said that the residents don't have to just stay back there in their rooms all the time. Sometimes they get to go places. It doesn't look old, and it was really nice. The rooms that the staff showed me, he said they were redoing it so it would be newer if my cousin moved in there. Also, I love that they would go all the way over to where my cousin is in Kansas and make an assessment. They do have a garden patio. Also, the doctor comes into the place once a month, and they would order the prescriptions for my cousin to be sent there. The lady at the desk and the man that gave me the tour were very nice. He said that I was on the schedule, but he didn't even receive the notice that it was supposed to be rescheduled until after the time had already passed. Somehow, they put the wrong date. He was very friendly and nice. We just walked through the memory care.

I love everything about Cadence at Mt. Zion. They have a nice garden. They have good food. It looks like it was a restaurant staff situation. It was very nice. The tour was wonderful. They were great. The facility was beautiful. They did outings. They have a lot of activities. The rooms were very nice. They had a private and semi-private, and both were beautiful.

I think the Cadence at Mt. Zion was very professional and there was someone there to meet us. They gave us the tour and told us everything about their policies and procedures. Any questions that we have were answered appropriately. They were very, very nice, greeted us with a smile, and offered us snacks while we waited. It was a nice experience as far as the tour. The prices were just a little steep for what we're looking for. I also don't think that the place would be appropriate for my sister. I saw a lot of elderly people in the dining room and some of them were spitting on themselves and things like that. My sister's only 60 and she won't be able to deal with that. I was shown a room and it was occupied. The lady that was in there had several complaints. I don't think I would be interested in bringing my sister there. I'm going to have to call them and let them know I. I explained all this to my sister and she didn't seem like she would be interested in it after what I've seen. We looked at memory care. She can do everything else herself. Just forgetfulness and not remembering is the biggest issue. They did what they were supposed to do. They let me know and give me the information that I would need. It's just that I didn't like what I saw as far as the environment. It was a clean environment, but I didn't like the elderly people and the complaints that some of the residents had. I didn't see any peers or anybody that she could relate to. I thought that they should have more equipment in there for their little gym room where they work out. It just had one bike. She did say, though, that they were getting more equipment in there. I thought the porch could have been a little bit cleaner. It was a rainy day, so I couldn't see the outside too much but other than that, I thought it was pretty clean. There were a lot of patients in the dining room so it looked like they do get the patients out to be around other patients too.

We toured Cadence at Mt. Zion for my mother. They are basically out of my range right now. The dining area was all right. The staff was very friendly and very helpful. The place was neither big nor small; it was just average. There is a place outside where they could sit and be monitored.

We liked Cadence at Mt. Zion a lot. The guy who showed us around was real nice. My father could have his own private little room and we could bring his little dog to visit. It was spic and span and it smelled good. Everybody was friendly. They answered all of our questions. I don't have anything negative to say about it. I've seen a lot of elderly people sitting around and playing games there.
