About This Community

We genuinely care about each of our residents and that care fosters the enjoyment of life for them. It’s the everyday things that we are here to help with—reminders for medications, transportation to appointments and helping in dressing and personal care as well as other daily routines . It’s our pleasure to do these things and our residents can feel that in our care and are comforted by that.

Our residents are encouraged and supported in their desire to maintain their personal level of independence, and we assist them based on that. Our staff members are trained to help the transition both physically and emotionally with the transition from their former residence to their new home here. We are supportive and dedicated to our residents total well being as the family members who love them. Here at Gardens of Roswell we support a life…where everyday brings a smile.

The needs of a family member with Alzheimer’s or similar memory impairment are delicate and deserve additional assistance. Each day can be filled with joyous experiences even though memories may have faded. We are specially trained to understand each senior’s life history and through their memories help them construct a pleasant place to live day to day. In surroundings specifically designed with their safety and comfort in mind, we constantly engage those in our care and aim to stimulate each resident to participate in the events and small moments that make up an ordinary day.

I toured Tapestry House Memory Care for my husband. I liked the way it looked. It was appealing. The rooms were a little small. There was a large group of residents in front of a fireplace, and the activity director was doing something with them. I was shocked to see that many people sitting around. I was quite impressed with that. I did ask to see the kitchen and she wouldn't allow me to do that, which kind of concerned me. The upkeep of the building looked fine. The facility was clean and my daughter who was with me said it smelled good there. It was very pleasant looking and there seemed to be adequate staff on a Saturday. We saw quite a few staff people, so that was encouraging. She said that they have a 6:1 ratio of residents, which I thought was very good. They had a couple of enclosed courtyards. The staff who assisted me had only been there two months so I think that was the reason she couldn't answer some of my questions and thanked me for all the questions I had because that helped her be better prepared in the future. She was kind of learning her job, but she was quite attentive and interested in us and our situation, and she was very gracious. There were some questions I had that the person couldn't answer for me. I wanted to look at the report of the last inspection by the state, but she had no idea where it was.

My husband has been in the Tapestry House Memory Care for over a year now. Right now, I'm not that happy with it as I was when he moved in a year ago, because there are not that many people over there now and they've lost a lot of help because of that. There were about 40 people when he first went in January a year ago, and now there are only like 17 residents. They took a big hit with COVID and it's just been terrible, but he's been fine. I couldn't get in to see him because they're trying to be careful too, but the facility is close to my house, and only costs about $3600 rather than $5000. The only physical problem that he has is his memory. The staff is nice and has always been very helpful. He's got a nice room. It's not big but it's comfortable. We put a TV in and a real nice chair for him, and that works out well. I just wish that the food was better.
