I went to look at The Canopy at Warner Robins. It was a nice facility. The manager seemed to be really nice and helpful. They had a hair salon. The facility was clean. It's kind of close to where I'm working and where I stay.

The Canopy at Warner Robins was very helpful, but they had to decline my mom. She's in the late stages of Alzheimer's now. They were very personable, though, and even though we couldn't get her into their memory care, they helped us look for other places. I just talked with the administrator during my visit, and she was very helpful and personable. The facility is in a nice, open setting, and they're very clean and conscientious. It would have been a perfect place for mom since my dad lives right down the street. They had a gym and a salon -- or a couple of people who come in once a week to do it. The rooms were absolutely fine, too; they're very spacious and nice.

We will be moving my mother into The Canopy at Warner Robins. I like the openness of the place. I like the friendliness and the companionship. The one who accompanied me on the tour was great. She explained everything and kind of alleviated the worrying, so it was good. The place was great, and it's a brand-new facility. They do a lot for them, even for the ones who have dementia. They take them out, and they make them seem like they're still viable functioning seniors. It seemed like they are there to assist if they need it. They sit and talk to them and engage with them. I've seen the menus, but I have not tried the food. I do plan on going down and spend some more time with my mom when she's there.

My mother moved into The Canopy at Warner Robins. No disappointments as of yet. I can't really think of anything that they should work on. So far, no complaints. The staff is friendly and concerned about Mom's care. Her dementia is pretty good and the only discomfort she has is being in a strange place. I can't really take to heart a lot of the things that she says about staff and the other patients in there. She shares a room and that's not a major issue right now. It's quaint, but it meets her needs. She has a window wall in her room. We were there Mother's Day. We would like to have done a single occupancy room, but the money just wasn't there for us, so we decided to just give her a roommate. The only one drawback I see is the air-conditioning heater unit is on the window wall where she is. She's extremely cold natured and we may have to consider letting her be on the other side. It's like a six-foot partition between the two beds. That's not a major complaint, but if she gets cold and the other roommate farther away gets hot, you can see somewhat of an issue there, but it's a nice place. They were built three years or so, and it seems very clean. I think it will meet her needs. They seem to have a good activities director.
