I visited Tuscan Gardens of Venetia Bay. It was very attractive and looked more like a hotel lobby. Everything seemed to be clean and neat. The person who assisted me during the tour was informative, answered my questions, and was professional. I saw their dining area, it looked good, although I didn't sample any food. They had a lot of people sitting around watching TV at the time, it was kinda dark, and the shades were drawn. They basically have the same activities as others, they also have socials, and they offer barber and hair care.

Tuscan Gardens was a fantastic facility. My father passed away and I could just see when mom's ready for something like that, that would be a perfect place. I highly recommend Tuscan Gardens to people who can afford and who's able to do that. It was beautiful and well-maintained, the general facilities and the common areas. It's gorgeous. The grounds were beautiful. The staff was extremely friendly and receptive. They assured me that a lot of the people that are working there were long time. They give incentives, so that their people don't go anywhere else, and I was really pleased with that. I can really see mom enjoying something like that, when she's ready, which I think maybe about a year or so down the road. For right now, I just wanna keep her with me and spend time with her, which is something we haven't really been able to do very much over the past 10 or 15 years. I couldn't go in there because they had one case of Covid, which the caregiver brought in, so they didn't wanna do any type of exposure. I got to see the other general area. They showed me one of the little apartment units, what it looked like, and then the staff explained the programs that they do for their people in memory care. I couldn't go in and actually see the memory care part itself, but the staff showed me everything else on the assisted and the independent side. From what I saw, heard, and everything, I loved the looks of it. I would highly recommend it. I think their pricing was very good for what they were offering. Especially with someone who would be pretty dependent, the memory care, the staff assured me everything was included.

DO NOT BELIEVE A WORD THEY SAY! I am a disabled veteran and my wife is in the later stages of Alzheimers. I can't remember a time in all my 71 years on this earth when I have ever felt as deceived as I have by this facility. I will be submitting a more detailed review but for now I can only warn you NOT to be fooled by all the sweet talk and "you are family" baloney. Get EVERY WORD, EVERY PROMISE and EVERY OFFER in writing IMMEDIATELY, at the very moment it is being presented. In our experience, it all turned out to be nothing more than a systematic "deception" orchestrated to move you closer and closer to "the big bait and switch". Then they will try to make you believe that YOU misunderstood (why not, you’re old and have trouble remembering things). Don't even consider this place unless you have a team of lawyers with you every single second of the way. Be especially careful of the long list of EXTRA CHARGES, MONTHLY FEES, AMENITY CHARGES, SERVICE CHARGES, SUPPLY CHARGES and the MASSIVE UPFRONT NON-REFUNDABLE COMMUNITY FEE. In our opinion they have ZERO conscience, even less trustworthiness and driven by greed. Please be careful. My family is heartbroken.
