My mom was at The Reserve at Citrus. All in all, it was quite good, but there were staffing issues. It was clean, it smelled clean, and it was organized well. They have good food and linen tablecloths with real silverware. However, the staff is lacking in education on how to treat older people. My mom was there for about four years, and I asked for a treatment plan for her as we saw her deteriorating. However, no one ever held a staff meeting with her until she had fallen and hurt herself so many times, and we demanded one. And they're losing staff right and left right now. I don't want to put them down because many of the staff were so good, but the floor staff needs training.
My mom was on memory care for about a month, but she fell three times while she was there in the first week, so we said we got to get her out of there. However, all in all, it's better than most of those kinds of homes (and I've been in a lot of them). The food is good and they do the washing, but the staff needs training.
They have excellent meals. As for activities, they had a bingo, toss-a-beanbag thing, and they had people come in on Sunday, so I'm sure they tried to do their best. The memory care was way too high priced for what you get. But they just completely redecorated, and really, it looks very nice in there now. They've put in new carpeting and painted it. They've just finished making it look very nice.

My friend is in here It's wonderful, the people there are very kind and nice but there's an expense. It's expensive to get good care. The food is very, very good, her room is very nice, now if she gets to share it, it's gonna be crowded, and they do that, the rooms could be a little bigger. They do as much as they can during this pandemic, before they really had wonderful activities, and entertainments come in, or just throw a ball around the room, but it's somehow restricted now. The people working there are so dedicated.

Just moved Dad into memory care last week and the amount of help and caring from the staff is beyond my expectations. He is adjusting so well.
