We visited Atrium at Liberty Park. I thought it'd be great for my wife. The price was probably in the middle of the line. They'd do a better job of treating her than I would. I'm afraid that she is at the stage where she's starting to do things that would create a problem. The staff did a good job of explaining the program. I think they're professional and they do what they can to help out. I think they do a great job from what I can see. From the first look, it looked good to me.

I like Atrium at Liberty Park. The rooms were nice, large and it did not have sort of a college dorm feel to it. The staff who gave me the tour, her name is Natalie. She did a very good job with the tour, and she answered my questions. They offer a high level of memory care support, which I like. Their prices were a bit more reasonable. That day, they had a pie-eating contest. I also remember I saw a fair amount of interaction between staff and residents, which was very nice. They were engaged with the residents, and that was good. I like their dining facility. I looked at both the assisted living and the memory care component because at that time I thought my father would be going into the assisted living and my mother to the memory care. At their place, my parents could live in the same apartment together. They may have to eat in different dining rooms because of the limitations for my mother. It was not one that I did not like. They had a nice lobby. The rooms were larger than some that I referred to as his dorm-like. It was a nice place. The activities were nice, the interaction was nice, the pricing was nice, and their flexibility was nice.

My mom-in-law moved into the Atrium at Liberty Park last Christmas Eve. It's a brand new facility, and they've only been there for a year. It is a wonderful facility. We couldn't be happier, and the staff is great. My mother-in-law went there somewhat not in a good state of mind. With the staff working with her, she is now up and walking with her walker by herself, which she was not able to do at the previous location. They've been excellent in working with her. They're very caring and compassionate about what they do there. We're very happy with them.
She has a 1-bedroom suite, it has a bathroom, and they did get the hospital bed, which the hospice said that we request it in there. They also got her the high-back wheelchair that we requested. We provided the furniture, her dresser, and TV, so her bedroom is very nice looking. I would want it if I were her. She reports to us that the food is good. We've seen the menu, and the menu is considerably different from where she was at. It has a vast variety of different things that they can order from. It's made fresh, they have three meals a day, and I think they have some snack times throughout the day when they do their activities. We've not eaten it ourselves though.
The staff is absolutely amazing. They're wonderful, from the executive director who worked with us from the very start to the memory care director. We've met the nursing director and the front desk concierge services and they're fabulous. Everybody we've met are very great people, nice, and compassionate for every resident that resides there.
