On my visit today I was very impressed. Home was well kept, clean. Although the owner did not realize I was coming and did not have an opening at this time, she invited me in for a tour. The residents were listening to music. The rooms were well maintained and beds were made. Bathrooms were clean and well kept. Overall the home had a good feeling and atmosphere.

My mom has moved into Miami Gardens Manor, Inc. The owner is very nice, I love her. She's very clean, very caring, and she knows how to talk. When my mom gets outrageous or something, she knows how to talk it down. She has a lot of patience for her, so I love that.
As far as the food, she asked my mom, what does she like. She told us she will get her anything that she likes to eat, but she said they're very strict on diet-wise. I love that part because, you know, my mom told her what she likes to eat.
When I first got there, she made sure she had gloves. When my mom used the bathroom, she got up and made sure she wiped out everything. So, cleanliness is good, and the house is clean. When you walk in it has a nice atmosphere.
She doesn't have a lot of activities, but they do color or play bingo, game boards, or watch TV. They have movie nights. She needs that, but if they can get more of them going outside, that would be good because they feel like they're trapped in a house.
