I visited the memory care area of Brighton Gardens of Stamford and it was very nice. It almost had a New England kind of bed and breakfast cottage look about it. It looked very comforting and relaxing.

Brighton Gardens is not the fanciest place, but I think they take the best care of the patients. My wife has been there for a while now, and she is doing well. They may not have as many activities as some of the other places. My wife is in the Alzheimer's unit, but they keep them pretty busy, and they always have attendants close by. The medical services are very good. My wife doesn't mind the food, but I don't particularly like it. The staff is very good. The building is good and adequate. It is on two or three floors, whereas most of the other places have eight or ten floors, which would be confusing for the residents.
