The Village at Brookfield Common has two types of senior living options: assisted living and assisted living for the memory impaired. I went to The Village at Brookfield Common memory care, and we also saw some pieces of the assisted living area. They had a schedule of activities posted. They were restricted in terms of meal times, which concerned us. If my mom forgets to go to dinner, then she won't get any dinner.
They had a nice outdoor patio space, but the other outdoor spaces weren't as nice as the other places I toured. I saw all the memory people in a lecture, which I didn't think was appropriate for them. It was kind of over their heads, and maybe the planning of it should have been thought out a little better. The salesperson that I met was wonderful. She answered every little question, and the follow-up was good. I had cookies when I was there. The rooms were beautiful. They would have been the second choice because of where it was, and the access to the community my mother was living in before her decline. It's located on Federal Road which is a pretty main road and is close enough to the hospital where her doctors are affiliated.

I toured The Village at Brookfield Common. I thought it was really nice, I thought the staff was incredibly personable, knowledgeable, and super helpful about providing information. The building itself looked a little bit older on the outside, but the inside is actually super nice. The rooms were private, they showed me around, and gave me a list of activities. There's not much going on right now, but kind of what would normally be happening.

My aunt has been living in The Village at Brookfield Common for several weeks now. Our experience so far has been very good. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly, the services are very good, the place is very clean, it's a modern and beautiful community. She's in a studio there. There's a variety of rooms in this place, however, in the memory care unit there are only 2 types of studios with one slightly bigger than the other. They have a very nice little bistro where the residents can gather for coffee or entertainment. They also have outside entertainment that they bring in, there's a lot of activities every day for the seniors, they also have a main dining room where the family can share meals with them. There's an outdoor deck where the residents can use, several gathering rooms, and overall, it's one of the nicest communities I have seen during our search.
