Mariposa at Ellwood Shores was a 5 out of 5 on everything. It was a lovely place. It was very clean and very new. Memory care was very safe and protected. They had lots of activities available. The dining facility had beautiful menus, and I would eat there. I can't say enough about it, it was just wonderful. They had on-staff rehabilitation people, occupational therapists, and physical therapists. They had a beautiful garden for the residents to plant and grow vegetables or flowers. They had a library, exercise facilities, a beautiful dining room, and private dining rooms. It was just really very nice.

I went to Mariposa at Ellwood Shores. It seemed very nice, it was very clean, it was fine. The staff seemed friendly, very interested, very competent. They have music, exercise, and it seemed fairly standard. They offered the food, but I couldn't stay.

My sister and her husband are among the first Compass Rose (memory care) occupants, moving in shortly after the Mariposa opened just over three years ago. It's home to them, providing excellent care from a great staff of well qualified and caring people who have managed to keep residents safe in the midst of a terrible pandemic.
The in-house hospice and health care services are a godsend, limiting visits to outside health care providers that otherwise would be frequent. Other essential therapy and personal care programs are provided, further limiting the need for outside community exposure.
Entertainment and physical activities help keep them involved with fellow residents, including those in independent and assisted living facilities.

Ellwood Shores is a beautiful facility, very caring. My father is a resident and he likes it very much.
