We toured Windchime of Chico. The tour was good, but I didn't feel the activities were going to be enough. I felt like the memory care community was kind of tucked back in the corner and not really acknowledged. The facilities were very nice, but I didn't really see any of the amenities. The assisted living was much nicer than the memory care unit.

The care they give my mom is great but the administration and communication to us is terrible. You can’t ever talk to the administrator. He/she is either at lunch, on the phone, in a meeting, on a zoom meeting or etc. they are never available. There administration is terrible.

Windchime of Chico was OK. The rooms were all nice. They all had their own bathrooms whether they were shared or single. The rooms were great. There was a nice yard outside, too. The staff members were nice. However, I didn't appreciate the memory care place and the residents not being able to go to the dining room with everybody else. You're paying all that money but my mom got to eat in this other large room where patients were in their bed moaning and talking to themselves. It wasn't a happy place.

My mom is doing fine at Windchime of Chico. We are very pleased with it. Their caregivers are very thorough. I'm always getting unsolicited information about my mom. They keep me apprised of what is going on. Everything seems to be going smoothly. They have a full calendar with four or five activities a day that are available. There are currents events, exercise once or twice a day, walking club, some arts and crafts, and there is a person that visits from my church once a week, which is nice. They have a lot of music, too. They offer hairdressing and podiatry, outings where they go outside, and housekeeping. They provide three meals a day as well. The staff members are very good. The place is very clean. It is a good value, too.
