Cypress Place Assisted Living is a spot that we identified in Ventura. In a few months, when we need to kind of move forward with that, I think we'll be in a pretty good place. We toured their memory care last month.
The manager, Mike, who gave me the tour was really knowledgeable, kind, and very honest. I found that to be very helpful, and I appreciated the way that patients were treated very respectfully and with care. It seemed like a good place for people when they needed to be there.
It had tall ceilings and it was a medium-sized place. It wasn't overwhelming, though, because it's laid out in different sections.
We discussed food options, and they did say they'll be able to accommodate my grandma's vegetarian lifestyle by altering some of the things that they have, so that's helpful. They also have knowledgeable and kind staff.
