While we offer a helping hand with day-to-day tasks such as dressing, bathing and medication monitoring, they are treated as the accomplished individuals they are. I liked Point Loma Estates Memory Care. I was very impressed with the staff there. It was such a happy place. The people were caring. Even though I was only there like for an hour, I got a very good impression of that place in terms of the staff and the care. The residents there seemed to be well taken care of. That would have been my second choice of the places that I saw. The room size and layout were good.
I was there on Veterans Day. They were having a huge party and people seemed to be enjoying it (the people visiting their loved ones and the residents). They have a great room, which is like a big room where they serve the food and have the activities. From what I could see, it was good. It happens to be located in an area where parking is difficult, so I walked farther maybe than I did where my brother is now.

My brother will be moving into Point Loma Estates Memory Care. The tour experience was very positive. I like the community itself. I love the style and the fact that all they do is memory care. The facility was built and designed for memory care. It is a very neat and new building. They have dancing and social events. I saw the gardens and main dining room.

I visited Point Loma Estates Memory Care. Kelly, she's like a manager or director, and Anita, her second in command; both of them are really great. They are always going above and beyond to make the residents happy.
It's for older people, for sure. It's secure. The cleanliness and upkeep are alright. It's more about the people, and those two ladies really did a great job. Other than that, it's definitely for older people that don't care so much. The two ladies are really good. They really did a lot and have good communication. Laura, the one that answers the phone, she was fantastic as well. I was inside the room, and it was fine. The ambiance is just very much geared toward people probably more in the 80s, but my dad said the food was good.

It was accommodating. The staff was very nice. It is one thing that I want to go back and look into, but I'm not really sure if it is going to meet our needs. I went into the dining area. They showed me their menu, and they had quite a variety on a weekly basis. The rooms were a good size. They had different options, which was nice. There were a few options that I can consider. That was good in that regard. The staff members were very cordial. Everybody I encountered was very friendly. There was a class going on, and it was nice to see how they were interacting with the residents. Everybody was very nice.

It seems to be a good place. My mom is doing good there. They take good care of her. So far, it has been good. It is a lock facility, so she can't just walk through the doors. They do actually really good.

A family friend is a resident at this Altzheimer's living facility. We visit it often and have found it to be an exceptionally good care unit. The staff are friendly, the facility is very clean and our friend is doing well there.
