We like that The Watermark at Napa Valley is set up kind of like a resort. It's very open and has friendly people. It doesn't feel like the kind of place that my mom wouldn't like. It looked like the people living there were very active. Even their memory care seemed to have a lot of programs. I think that it's a place that my family will like going to see my mother. The accommodations, the room, and everything looked really good. The staff is professional and friendly too. I tried the food on the day we went to tour it and it was good.

I moved dad into The Watermark at Napa Valley last February. He has dementia. They are unable to care for him, they just don't have the staff, and they don't have the experience because they're very new. He needs more attention than they are able to give him.
The Watermark itself is excellent and beautiful and the food is delicious, everyone loves it. And the caregivers are very sweet, caring, and attentive. There's just not enough of them. It's gorgeous, absolutely beautiful. It's like a resort. I had a tasting before I brought him there and it was excellent. It looks really good. My sister ate there, and she said it was really good. I ate some grilled fish, a little lamb chop, and something else that was really good, but this was in the independent part.
They have a beautiful workout room. On Wednesday afternoons, they have a very fun, happy hour for all the residents. They have bocce ball, they have a garden, and they have a little putting green. It's very well done.
