Villas at San Bernardino was a very clean place. They do activities with the memory care residents, and they showed us all the programs that they do for the day. There are security doors, but they don't lock them in. There will be an alarm that'll go off after a few seconds, and they'll just be within the building. The rooms are very clean. They don't mix men and women, too. They answered all our questions and told us what's allowed and what's not. They have a couple of common rooms. One was where they can sit and watch TV, and then another place where they can drink coffee or eat pastries. It's almost like a library because there's nothing there but books. If they want to sit in the patio area, they can also sit outside and read or do whatever they want to do.

Villas at San Bernardino was very nice, the staff participates from the top down to their residents. It's a very nice place and the workers are all caring. My parents have been living in the memory care section for several weeks now. Their accommodation is just a bedroom with a bathroom. They had rooms for 2 people as well, they were basically just a room with a bathroom too but just a little larger. They have a nurse there all the time. They also have food for the residents all the time, if they get hungry they can come out and say they're hungry and they give them choices of what they would like and they get it for them. Every time I'm there, I can just go down the hall and tell them if I need something, and they'll get it right away. They have entertainment, pet care therapy comes in twice a week, they also have hired a podiatrist to come, and there's a beauty shop upstairs where they could get their hair done. They're having a Christmas party that the family members could come, they also had Thanksgiving. They have Catholic church on Tuesdays, and on Sundays they have their services on the assisted living part. I think they're way overpriced but that's how all of these places are. We had to put our mother in the memory care but our dad is in assisted living and we didn't want them separated, but Villas said right away that they could be together. On the weekends, a couple of the managerial people are always there so if you have a problem they're there to address it.
