The Gardens of Riverside felt like my house. It felt very familiar. I'd never been there before, but when I walked in, I felt something familiar. The atmosphere was like what I'm accustomed to, something I grew up in. The staff was very upfront. They weren't shy. Their choice of words, they didn't talk above me or below me. They spoke to me to give me information. They do have a salon, and they have a van that take the residents to different places of interest. They had a little pet farm with goats, a pig, and birds. I'm kind of gearing toward this place.

My mother is at The Gardens of Riverside. I like it. It's a nice place. The people that helped us move her in were great and they always call if there are any questions or give me any updates on her condition or anything. They're really good and they're nice. I like the facility. It's clean. They have a beautiful little courtyard for the residents. They make sure she eats and they have a lot of activities. When we first went, they were doing karaoke and stuff like that. They had an Easter thing and they invite the family members.
I love the staff. I haven't had any issues with the staff. The food looked fine and it looked like a balanced meal. I haven't seen too many, but I went one time when mom was eating lunch and they have a good menu. They came out and brought her a dessert, so that's nice.
I like the atmosphere. Some people are watching TV, some are talking in a seating area, some are outside and there are rocking chairs and a little water fountain. I like sitting outside when I go see her because it's really nice and airy and there's grass and stuff like that. It's a nice place. I'm glad I found it. It was a blessing.
Whenever I had any questions or anything, the staff was amazing. They're always sweet. They're good. The director, Stephanie, is really awesome and very personable. When I first went, I was almost in tears. It's just heartbreaking and she gives you a hug. She's just comforting. It's super clean. They keep everything nice and clean. My mom doesn't do all of the activities, but I see their little calendar and when I go to visit her, they're usually doing something. When I was visiting with her, they invited me to go to the Red Hat Society Club with mom.

My mother moved into The Gardens of Riverside. We moved her on April 1, and so far, so good. The staff so far is good; they appear to be friendly and caring. We have to make adjustments on the food because she's not used to the flavor profile. They have all kinds of stuff going on all day long. Yesterday they had a guy who came and played the guitar. I also know they've made candles, they planted a garden, and they have animals on site, too. They have all kinds of things going on. I got my mom into a Medi-Cal program so for us, the out-of-pocket money we're paying is very low.

I am so grateful for the day I called The Gardens and Maria answered. From that first conversation, to today, she has been there the entire time (along with Stephanie and Shannon) helping me transition my 90 yo mom who has alzheimers to a memory care facility. My mom, who is not easy to deal with, is thriving. She is thriving because of everyone that works there. The care and compassion is evident from the person that answers the phone to the back office and everyone in between. Instead of a traditional memory care facility, The Gardens offer the cutest bungalows that face out towards a charming courtyard with pet birds, a fountain and a petting zoo on the property. If you're looking for a memory care facility, you have to schedule a tour. I've looked everywhere and you won't find better care in a cuter setting with a more caring staff.

My father is at The Gardens of Riverside. It's a very good facility. I've seen everything; they have a lot of activities. They give him a lot of food, he says. Everything is very good. He says the staff is very nice. They have a person named Maria there, and she's an angel; she's a very good person. The food is very good, he says.

The Gardens of Riverside was just memory care. They were very nice and answered all of our questions. It was clean and well laid out, and the rooms were nice. There was a courtyard, which was really nice. They had a building for people that had better function and it's a 5/5, but the building right across the courtyard from them for people that are further along with their dementia. I did not like at all. They told me that they take them for horse therapy and outings. They offer them their choice of meals, and if they're a picky eater they'll try to accommodate them. It had an institutional feel to it.

The Gardens of Riverside was a very nice place. It was very pleasant and very friendly. They were very engaged with their residents. They were doing all kinds of activities. They're having music, they were watching TV, and they were playing games with them. The rooms themselves were nice size. They have a whole lot of activities that they do with the residents. Everyone seemed happy. The staff who assisted me was very nice and very attentive.

My mother is in this community, and so far, it's been good. She's in a shared room, she has plenty of space, and it's clean. They take them on outings once a week, and different people come in and do things with them. I really like the staff, and I think they're great.

This community is really good, if you're a social person. It's clean and like a hotel, but it wasn't a fit for us. The food was very good.
