My father-in-law and mother-in-law were in Sunrise of Mission Viejo for about four years. The activities were wonderful. She was in memory care. It was excellent. We ate there many times, and the food was good. My father-in-law was in assisted living, he was in a studio with a kitchen, then he moved into memory care after my mother-in-law passed away, and he was in a shared one-bedroom. It was fine because no one was in there with him. They had musicians come from the outside. They had bingo, they had sing-alongs, they had games, and they had a pool table. It was nice. They had a bus service to take them on outings. The staff was great, we didn't live close, and the staff was great about helping us with doctor's appointments and keeping us informed of what was going on because we lived about four hours away. In furnishing the apartments, I wish we could use the previous tenants' furniture, so we didn't have to go out and buy all new.
