My father has been in Brookdale Corona for a week now. The overall experience is good. His room is kind of small. The place is very clean and well maintained. I've dealt with four or five different staff members, and my overall experience with them is fair to good. It's clean and it has an outdoor area. He loves being outside so he can be there safely. The outdoor space is green and well-landscaped.

My husband moved into Brookdale Corona. We are adjusting. It seems like theyre very caring people, and I think its a good referral. I think they do pretty well. Its not a new place, but as you walk in, its very nice, and outside theres a large courtyard with many paths that you can go on. We liked that. My husband is in a single room. The food is not particularly good, and I think they need more in the afternoon. They have good activities in the morning, and sometimes some in the afternoon. Theyre a little short-staffed, but the staff they have is very good. They have an old ice cream shop room, theyve got music going in there all, the time, and I think its too much music for my husband. Its too loud and too ongoing.

My father-in-law was at Brookdale Corona, but he didn’t last that long. The staff did everything they could, and the care was great. The place was very nice. His room was very nice, clean, roomy, and kept up. It seemed like everything was new. Even though it was expensive, it would have been worth it had we stayed long enough. My only complaint was that they had not returned the money they owe us, and I find it ridiculous. They sent me a statement saying they owe me this much, but they hadn’t paid me up until now.

I did not like the layout of Brookdale, there was literally no privacy, and a shared room was 2 cots in one same room. There was no dividing area, and they had no showers in the room. They only had a community shower. The staff was fine, very friendly, and very professional, and they followed up with me.

I visited Brookdale Corona, and I really liked it. It was clean. The staff was nice and friendly. I liked the layout, it was very nice. The prices were good. The dining area was nice.

Since Brookdale took over Emeritus and removed existing management staff, they evicted my father due to "sexually aggressive" behavior. My father is 84 years old, uses a walker. Brookdale said there were numerous complaints by caregivers and family of a resident. All caregivers I've asked have said they have not seen such behavior. Brookdale won't provide me with dates and specific incidents of such occurrences. DO NOT TAKE YOUR LOVED ONE to Brookdale. We didn't get a phone call that they may be having issues with my father. No notification. Just called in for a "care conference" and handed the termination notice.

Overall, Brookdale Corona is an amazing facility, but we just couldn’t afford it. The staff was awesome during my visit. The rooms looked really nice. I wasn’t able to see their food, but their dining room is nice and clean. They do have a lot of activities like crafts, I saw that they had a nursery for memory care, and I think that is helpful in that situation.

Brookdale Corona is a locked facility. He has plenty of room, he can do whatever he wants, he can roam around the building, and he can go outside. There is a large outdoor area. It's kind of like setting him free. There is very good care there. There are always a lot of caregivers on duty, and there's always one on each shift that's assigned particularly to him although they all help each other out and help the other residents.
He has one room that is meant to be shared, but so far nobody is in there with him. They try to match people up when they share a room, and they haven't found anybody that they thought was a good fit yet. He has a bedroom with two twin beds, two chests of drawers, and a nightstand. There is one bathroom and a closet that's to be shared by both people in the room. It's nicely furnished and has a good light.
They have a lot of activities going on all the time. They always try to involve him, but if he doesn't want to do it, he doesn't have to. He likes music, he participates in music activities, and they manage to keep him fairly busy during the day. For the first time -- even way before he left home -- he's sleeping all night. He moved in att eh end of March, and once a month, they have a meeting for the relatives of the resident there. I went to that one, and it was very nice. They had speakers, and the people discuss with the speaker and with each other the things that are bothering them about their resident there.

Emeritus really meets my mom’s needs and I am very satisfied. They have a special unit for dementia patients, and they're very attentive and very social with my mom. She is happy with where she is and they know how to work with her. They have a social singing group which she enjoys very much, and they take her out for shopping.
The girls are just very accommodating for the guests and visitors alike. I’m really happy with her being there, and they did what they could to help me keep her there. I appreciate all their work in accommodating all of this; they’re terrific. There is nothing that I would ever complain about. They are more than accommodating and I just love them dearly.

The staff at Emeritus were very caring and nice. My mother-in-law was comfortable there. There were a lot of activities. I would recommend to improve their food choices because sometimes it did not seem appropriate for the elderly. Nonetheless, I would recommend this facility.

I knew of Emeritus way back because it was in the area. The facility was large like a hospital with many rooms. I thought that it would be confusing for my mom if she would stay there. It did not have a close or family-type feeling. The staff I met was very amenable and nice. It was also too expensive.

I have talked to them over the phone for my job, and they we're nice about, and they helped me out with any questions that I had. I would check this place out because it is in a nice community.
