My mom has been in Brookdale Tracy for about a month now. I was able to come in, see how the facility was, see the rooms, see the activities, and check over their food. They really made me see everything, so I could get a good perspective on whether or not it would be a good place for my mom. I talked to her roommate, too, and so far, it's turned out to be a good situation.
We had a really good move-in experience. They were very, very helpful. They met us at the door with her favorite drink and snack. She met the people, and that allowed me to go in there with the signing of the papers, and everything turned out very well.
So far, I don't have many complaints about the staff, but I was frustrated when I was not told they were taking her by emergency transport to check out her arm after she slipped and fell. That was a little disconcerting to me that they didn't call me first.
The facility is very clean and very well maintained. It kind of felt like a cross between a hotel and a living facility. Doors are open, people are very friendly, the staff is very nice and upfront, and they take everything out before you go in. I really liked it.
