I was very impressed with Summerfield of Fresno. It's very clean. The residents seemed pretty happy and pretty content. The lady, Jamie, that showed me around, was very nice and very helpful. Even the people like the secretaries were nice. It was just an all-around pleasant experience. I was very impressed with the rooms also. They're nice, big, and clean. It was really good. They had some activities with some of the residents there, and they have a room where they do different activities. It's just the prices are high and you're paying out-of-pocket.

I went to Somerford Place of Fresno. The lady who was helping me was wonderful. She was sensitive to our needs and answered all our questions. That was great. They showed us the available rooms, common areas, kitchen area, and walking spaces. The rooms were fine. My only concern was that the place was a little bit like a puzzle. Rooms were clustered. Residents can walk all around but it is confusing. If you venture out, I don't know how easy it is to get back. I like the community because it is small and there are not a lot of patients. However, since my mother really likes to walk, my concern is the floorplan. Other than that, it is fine. I like the people there, I like the rooms, and I like that it is small. The staff was awesome, too.

Somerford Place of Fresno was nice, but they didn't have any openings. We went in for a few minutes and the person that took us around was very nice. They monitor the residents using an internet board that they have in every hallway, so you could see what that particular resident had been doing for that day. The layout was nice and the dining area looked good.

The people at Somerford Place of Fresno were very professional, friendly, had positive attitudes, and seemed to treat their residents very well. The dining area was small and intimate, and the food was quite good. The apartments were a bit maze-like and cramped.

What stood out at Somerford Place of Fresno were the way they help people with memory loss and their schedules. The staff is very helpful, they have very wholesome food, and they try to involve the people who live there in doing things to keep them busy. Everybody was really friendly and willing to do whatever it takes to make the person happy. They try to keep them calm, collected, and involved.

Somerford Place of Fresno seems like a very nice place. They feed dad well, and they seem to be very attentive to his needs. I wish they would provide more activities for men. It is a fairly nice place visually. They have a decent number of amenities. They have doctors who come to the facilty once in a while. They have nurses. They have aides that come in periodically to trim their toenails, and give them showers. For the women, they do their hair. His room is a like an oversized studio room.

We have visited Somerford Place of Fresno. The place is an Alzheimer's unit with a high level of care for the patients living there. They are just fine. The staff is accommodating.

My mother has been a resident at Somerford place for approximately 2 1/2 years. She has received excellent care while being there, the staff is extremely kind and caring! I go every Wednesday to have lunch with her – the meals are excellent! The planned events are fun and all the family is invited – a great time to build memories with your loved one. It is a wonderful environment, one that you feel secure having your loved one in. I would highly recommend it to anyone!
