I enjoyed seeing Pacifica Senior Living Vista yesterday and they have openings. It looks like a nice facility. The staff was very friendly and informative. The facility was very nice, very clean, very spacious, had good lighting, and a very friendly atmosphere. The staff seemed very caring, too, in terms of the interactions that I saw with the seniors that were there.
I toured the memory facility. They have all the different levels of care there. They were just getting ready to have some afternoon entertainment. The DJ was setting up and the residents seemed to be very anticipatory and excited for it to happen like they seemed to look forward to it.
Walking through, everyone seemed well cared for, well-groomed, and well attended to. The staff ratio I didn't think was the highest, but it wasn't the lowest either. I think it was like three staff members for 26 or 27 residents at that time that were there continually. I also felt very confident and secure in their memory care section because it's all locked and alarmed, but at the same time, it didn't feel claustrophobic like the residents were stuck in one area, because they were free to roam out in the garden.
There's an area outside to sit where they bring dogs to pet on certain days of the week. I enjoyed seeing their calendar of events because they have something scheduled for them that is unique each day. It's not just being sat in front of a TV or not having things to do. If they want to participate, it seemed like there are a lot of enriching activities that they could participate in. That made me feel slightly more comfortable with the idea of being in a facility because my mom is still pretty cognizant of what's going on. I was so worried that she'd be so bored there, but it seems like they have so many things to do.
The staff seemed very accommodating and very knowledgeable, they answered all my questions, and they were very efficient. The person that was supposed to tour us wasn't there, but they had someone else step right in and she was very knowledgeable. It wasn't like, "Oh, I don't know the answer to that question. That's not my department." She knew everything and she knew all the residents too, even though she's not really on the floor so much. She was from a different department.
I did see the meal they were having and it looked good. I did read their menu for the month, and it seemed like a good variety and they cater to the seniors' sweet tooth, which I know my mom would be so excited about. They have an ice cream bar.

Pacifica Senior Living Vista was a large area, very open, family-oriented, and friendly. The rooms were nice and big. The staff was very nice, informative, accommodating, and polite. They had all kinds of activities. They had a garden outside for the people if they wanted to work in the garden. They had games. The atmosphere was nice and homey.

My father is in Pacifica Senior Living Vista. It was freshly remodeled (majority of it), it's clean, and the gentleman who gave me the tour was very professional and let me look at everything I needed to look at. I just felt that the whole facility was more topnotch than the other one I looked at. He's in memory care. I think the food is fine, but his dietary menu might be the reason. He thought it was a little bland at times, but I know the food is good because I've seen it. They have social activities for everybody and family comes and I know within the memory care itself, they will do little creative things like arts and crafts or they'll do athletic things like sitting in chairs and kicking the ball around like a volleyball thing. They try to keep them engaged to a certain point. Price-wise, I've looked all around, and they're pretty competitive.

I tried to keep my husband at home as long as possible, but realized early on it's an impossible task, there was no way I could give him the constant and involved care that he receives at this facility. From day one I have received emails, pictures, phone calls and updates on how he was doing - good and bad. Every step of the way, I'm given an opportunity to voice my opinion so it feels I contribute in part for his care. I can't say enough about all of the staff: the caregivers are unbelievable in what they do. I have been able to watch how they interact with the residents and their compassion shines through, caregivers are truly Angels on earth. When I come into visit, the staff know me by name and greet me with a friendly welcome and when I go home I know that I did the right thing and picked the perfect place for him. Dr.s are available to him as is physical therapy and he doesn't have to leave the facility - they come to him! When I found out the cost of him living there, it was quite a shock, but I now realize what the cost must be of keeping a place like this up and running. The managerial staff, caregivers, housekeepers, nurses, 3 healthy meals a day plus snacks available to them. The list can go on and on. I like many over families have heard the horror stories of memory care facilities, but I know from first hand, this is not one of them. There is no way I could give my husband the attention and care he receives here. I sleep well knowing he is in a better place and is receiving better care that I could ever provide.

Pacifica Senior Living Vista is very well put together. They have 4 nurses on staff 24/7. They have a care staff that stays and doesn't rotate. A lot of places have a lot of turnover, but they don't have that turnover there. There's a lot of people on staff that have been there for years prior to Pacifica's taking over, and it's been very nice. They took it over and some of the staff members are still there. The memory care is completely redone, it's completely new. The owners are in the process of renovating other parts of the building now.
They have various activities. When I was there, I saw them doing exercises. There must've been at least 50 people in that room. There were two care staff, the activities director, and the assistant. They're watching over them, helping them, and assisting them if they need any help. They have a beautiful dining area. They're going to be opening a salad bar soon because of the COVID-19. It's everything you can imagine, and the menu is very nice. The memory care is completely redone, completely renovated, and all brand new. From the paintings to the floors, to the walls, to the room, everything looks very, very nice. It's very well-kept, very clean, and the grounds are beautiful. They're meticulous, and the people in it are very friendly. The staff that I saw were very polite and courteous. From what I've seen, I have been impressed.

My Father was very well attended to. Not as much a patient but more a resident within a community. Although His stay was brief , only a few months, he was happy and comfortable.

Rooms are a little small, but the staff were all nice and seemed caring and helpful. There was a problem with losing my husbands clothing. I think they try to keep them interested and active. Perhaps two outings a week instead of one. My husband looked forward to the drives.
