My wife moved into Vine Ridge Assisted Living. The place is very nice, but any memory section is kind of depressing. The move-in experience went fairly easy. The interaction with the staff seems good. There are only six residents and there are two caregivers there all the time. One section is assisted living where people get around and everything, but they have the memory section, which is very small. They have 15 rooms, but right now, they only have six residents. They're private rooms. For the people in assisted living, a clown guy came in, but that's all I'd seen. I didn't see too much. They got a courtyard, which is huge and pretty, and it's completely fenced, so nobody can get out. The doors are electronic. You got to have a code to get in. The food is pretty good.

We toured Vine Ridge Assisted Living. The exterior and the immediate interior were very beautifully done and very home-like. Once you walk through the memory care doors, it became a very sterile environment. It was very small, and it smelled of urine. The rooms were very small. It just wasn't conducive to what my mother needs. Their backyard was very beautiful; but at the same time, not very livable out there. It was just a walking path and that was it. There were bushes everywhere. There was no place for you to sit down. I don't know who designed it, but they didn't have a person in mind. The room was just a bedroom, period. No bathroom. No nothing. The room just had four walls and a closet, that was it.
The person who accommodated me with the tour was very nice. However, she just kind of talked around the issue. She did not really give direct specific information about what it is that they do there. We asked about activities, and there didn't seem to be any. There was no furniture. There was a table and chairs out in the main area, and that was it. It was just awful. The person was fine. She ended up calling back two weeks later, after I told her that I didn't think it was conducive. She wanted to know how she could help me, so she didn't even remember who I was.
The exterior part of the building was very beautiful, but that was for people who lived in assisted living and memory care. It was like walking into something totally different. There was no home-like environment at all. Nothing. There were no pictures on the wall. There was nothing.

My family moved my dad into Vine Ridge in the early stages of the pandemic when most senior living facilities were not accepting new patients. My father was in the early stages of Alzheimer's and we needed a safe place for him as he could not be trusted to adhere to all Covid-19 precautions. Vine Ridge was such a huge help. They transitioned him into the facility and kept him well cared for and safe when we had struggled. The staff - especially David - is fantastic. The facility is brand new and feels clean and welcoming. We are grateful everyday for their kindness.

Hello, I want you to know I am clicking excellent because Vine Ridge in Cloverdale is truly Excellent.
The food is nutritious, tasteful, colorful, well balanced, designed for the client to motivate them to eat.
The staff is personable, engaging, knowledgeable, caring and professional. When a situation arises with a memory care patient I have witnessed their endearing care and calming actions to calm the patient. 100% communicative. I am someone who likes detail, this is what I receive with much appreciation
The facility is the cleanest facility I have been inside of, (I have another parent and brother-in-law who passed from Alzheimers), the staff cleans, they decor flows with the season. Everything looks fresh.
Value if this means cost, I would say they are right in the ballpark with the going rates. No gouging, adding extra costs or surpises.
Activities, I see that they are doing the best the can with this pandemic. I am quite sure once everything opens it this as well will be Excellent.
I would be happy to speak to anyone with anyone who is considering Vine Ridge for their loved one. Tammy
